Melchora aims to give back to our Filipino frontline health workers by providing delectable yet high-protein and high-fiber treats in the form of home-made supplemental bars. MELCHORA is a direct allusion to Melchora Aquino, otherwise known as Tandang Sora, who risked both life and livelihood to support Bonifacio’s men and the needs of the Katipunan, providing them not only food and medical care, but also motherly comfort and encouragement through prayer.
